In the laboratory experiment, a comparative assessment of the impact of microplastics (2 μm) on the bivalve mollusks Dreissena polymorpha and Unio tumidus was given, acting individually and in combination, two populations of the bivalve mollusks Dreissena polymorpha in Ukraine, native and invasive, were investigated for the effect on the body of ecologically real concentrations of microplastics, caffeine and elevated temperature separately and in combination with number of parameters of immunoreactivity and stress. Common species features of the reactivity of mollusk populations in response to the influence of molecular factors and specifics of reactions to stress depending on the population have been established. There was an exchange of tissue samples with a French partner to compare the indicators of native and invasive (from French waters) mollusk populations according to a number of biochemical and molecular characteristics and their reaction to the influence of microplastics and bacterial infection.
