At the same time, the electromagnetic field should ensure compression of the jet and its acquisition of a geometric shape close to compact (round in cross-section), minimization of the adhesion of slag particles and drops of liquid metal to the inner surface of the submerged enter nozzle and reduction of its growth rate. According to preliminary estimates, this will increase the stability of submerged enter nozzle and their service life by 1.5-2 times, reduce the number of CCM stops for changing cups and, accordingly, significantly reduce the cost of casting and increase the productivity of the process. Developments carried out on the subject of the Project can be recommended for experimental and industrial testing and implementation at domestic machine-building and metallurgical enterprises, primarily with small volumes of production of high-quality cast metal products using continuous and semi-continuous casting technologies, as well as for the custom-made production of proposed equipment complexes and individual devices.
