The purpose of the first stage of the NDR is to research and develop information processing methods when solving problems of flaw detection and assessing the state of critical transport infrastructure objects, developing ground-penetrating radar equipment and measurement methods. Research methods – theoretical, experimental, analytical studies, methods of machine modeling and experiment planning. The results of the first stage of the NDR are: research and development of information processing methods for the search, positioning and identification of subsurface heterogeneities; development of software for modeling and analysis of ultra-broadband GPR pulse signals; adaptation of the software for visualization and interpretation of GPR sounding results to defect inspection tasks; creation of a layout of the GPR antenna system with cross-polarization; development of limit state criteria structures with sub-surface inhomogeneities.
