An analysis of the requirements for the types and parameters of cameras used for filming in mine conditions was carried out, the technical characteristics and scope of the cameras Nikon COOLPIX W300, Nikon COOLPIX AW110 and Nikon COOLPIX AW130 were studied. Compliance of Nikon COOLPIX W300, Nikon COOLPIX AW110 and Nikon COOLPIX AW130 cameras with the requirements of Ukrainian legislation on labor protection and industrial safety was assessed and the scope of their application at mining enterprises was determined. It has been established that it is possible to use cameras Nikon COOLPIX W300, Nikon COOLPIX AW110 and Nikon COOLPIX AW130 in underground workings of coal mines, which must be normally ventilated, including those hazardous for gas and / or dust, subject to paragraph 6 of section 2 of chapter VIII of NLAOP 10.0 -1.01-10 "Safety rules in coal mines".
