Registration Date 27-12-2022 Organization V. Bakul Institute of superhard material of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2  The concept of creating two-layer cutting composites from PCNB of BL group has been developed, which consists in layer-by-layer reinforcement with oxide Al2O3w microfibers to reduce chemical interaction with the processed material and oxide-free SiCw microfibers to improve the physical and mechanical properties of the composite. Samples of two-layer cutting plates made of PCNB were synthesized under high pressures and temperatures. The plates were tested during turning with shock loads of hardened ХВГ steel. It was established that at cutting speeds up to 100 m/min. the side of the cutting plate reinforced with SiCw microfibers had the highest wear resistance, and the Al2O3w layer, having lower physical and mechanical properties, provided a damping effect by absorbing impulse shocks. At cutting speeds up to 200 m/min. the side of the cutting plate reinforced with micro-fibers Al2O3w showed higher wear resistance, and the layer reinforced with micro-fibers SiCw revealed rigid properties, preventing mechanical destruction of the tool. The synthesis of initial polymer compounds to use in the future for the development and creation of diamond-abrasive tools, was carried out. Product Description popup.authors Klymenko Serhiy A.
