Bakul Institute of superhard material of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2  A range of diamond abrasive tools was created for shaping the deposited metallic surfaces of parts: abrasive disks and polishing heads made of white, normal, chrome, sol-gel and ruby corundum, black and green silicon carbide, as well as diamond heads, containing galvanic cohesive materials. Grinding heads designed for the processing of parts reinforced with ЖС6 and ЖС32 alloys were developed. The high efficiency of these tools was proved for manual and mechanical processing and the optimal grinding speeds were determined, which were 20-28×103 rpm. for AW 20, AW 25 heads, and 10-17.5×103 rpm for АГЦ АС 32 32 250/200 heads. The testing of the developed tools at the Lutsk repair plant "Motor" showed that they had provided an increase of the processing productivity by 1.5-1.7 times compared to the existing tools and technologies, and also had allowed obtaining high quality and accuracy for parts, mounted in aircraft engine.
