Scenarios of the socio-economic development of the region were also modeled using the economic justification of the strategy of developing the tourist infrastructure. Variants of resource support for varieties of domestic tourism have been studied. The assessment of recreational resources in the regional aspect was carried out in the context of prospects for the development of tourism. The role of innovations in the development of tourist infrastructure is revealed, taking into account the principles of its formation. The significance of the greening of tourism for the ecologically balanced development of territories is revealed. The peculiarities of the development of recreation and leisure, ecological and gastronomic tourism in Ukraine are analyzed. Some trends in the transition of international tourism to the principles of sustainable development are also highlighted. The prospects of expanding the network of the hotel industry in Ukraine and Lviv region in particular were considered. The impact of tourist flows on the formation of the tourist infrastructure of the Carpathian region has been studied. An assessment of the cultural heritage of the regions of the Carpathian region was carried out in order to intensify tourism activities. New directions of sustainable development strategy in tourism and hotel and restaurant business are justified. The mechanisms of management of innovative activities in tourism and hotel industry are highlighted. The components of the tourist infrastructure of Ukraine were evaluated in comparison with EU countries. Various aspects of the current state and geography of certain types of tourism in Ukraine have been studied.
