The impracticality of manufacturing multicomponent ligatures is shown due to the formation of a large complex phases, which later dissolve poorly due to high stability and the formation of silicide layers. It was determined that upon addition of Co, Cr, V, and Mo to silumins with increased iron content, the β-Al5SiFe phase changes its morphology, but not too effectively. Separate addition of Cr, Co, Mo provides the strongest alloying of the solid solution. It was established that with complex modification, the increased content of cobalt (more than 0.2% by mass) leads to the formation of iron-containing phases of increased size and unfavorable needle-like morphology. With the modification by addition Co, Co+V, Co+Cr+V, iron-containing phases correspond to the β-Al5SiFe phase in terms of chemical composition, and with the modification of Cr, V, V+Cr, V+Mo, the α-phase of the Al15(Fe,Mn)3Si2 type forms. Best results of complex modification showed the combinations of Co+V, Co+Mo, Mo+V and Cr+Co+V+Mo, which provided the most favorable structure with crushed inclusions of iron-containing phases. It was found, that it is desirable to limit cobalt content to 0.1 wt. %. due to the fact that this element increases particles size and content of manganese in the composition of iron-containing phases, thus reducing its content in solid solution. The strength of the samples after complex modification can be increased by 5-25% compared to the initial state and have a value of about 200 MPa.
