The methods of assessing the risk of insurance brokers' activities existing in Ukraine have been considered, and the affiliation of each method to the stage of the risk-oriented approach to risk assessment has been established. A comparison of the current norms of risk assessment of the insurance broker's activity was carried out. An overload of indicator calculations and reporting on risk management of the insurance broker was determined. In order to optimize the risk assessment of the insurance broker's activity, it is proposed to change the importance of each component of the process. The approach to the risk assessment of the insurance broker's activity, which takes into account the change in the weighting factors of the components of the researched process, has received further development. The priority component of the risk assessment is the fulfillment of capital adequacy, liquidity and solvency standards.
