Registration Date 27-12-2022 Organization National Science Center "Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology" popup.description2  The goal of the NDR is the development of methods and devices for the investigation of surface corrosion of samples of structural reactor materials under joint exposure to critical and supercritical water and irradiation with accelerated electrons. Research methods include experimental methods and calculation methods, as well as computer modeling using the method of finite elements and technical thermohydraulics. A four-channel irradiation chamber (CO) with samples for the study of corrosion in the medium of convection flow to the critical and supercritical coolant under irradiation with accelerated electrons was designed and manufactured. Four cassettes for the irradiation chamber with five samples in each were made. A computer simulation of the circulation of the heat carrier in the CU to be created was performed, and its thermo-hydraulic parameters in the operating modes were calculated. The report presents the results of the investigation of surface corrosion of samples of austenitic stainless steel 12X18N10T with a protective coating of CrN in the medium of convection flow to the critical and supercritical water coolant (23.5 MPa, 365°C) under the irradiation of electrons with an average energy of 9 MeV and an average beam current 0.8 mA.
