The purpose of the work is to study the influence of nuclear shells on the formation of decay products of compound nuclear systems formed by the interaction of photons with plutonium isotopes for the first chance energy range. Research methods – calculations of the boundaries of the energy range of emission-free fission (first chance) of plutonium isotopes under the action of photons, primary and post-neutron yields of products, their dependence on mass, charge and number of neutrons, as well as the multiplicity of instantaneous neutrons during the fission of plutonium isotopes caused by high-energy photons in the first-chance energy range using the "GEF" software code. The main scientific results – the boundaries of the energy range of emission-free fission (first chance) of plutonium isotopes caused by photons were determined; the values of the primary and post-neutron product yields and the multiplicity of instantaneous neutrons during the fission of plutonium isotopes caused by photons in the first chance energy range were obtained using the software code " GEF"; the dependence of the primary and post-neutron yields of products on their mass, charge and number of neutrons and the correlation of the emission of instantaneous neutrons with the yields of products were investigated, the probability of formation of symmetric and asymmetric fission channels was calculated and the dynamics of their changes were analyzed for the first chance energy range; an analysis of the influence of nuclear shells on the formation of products of decay (fission) of compound excited nuclear systems - isotopes of plutonium - was carried out.
