The influence of the phase composition on the wear of anodized layers was established. The research was carried out under the conditions of dry and lubricated friction, as well as abrasive. Modes of formation of the optimal phase composition, in which the anodized layer has the least wear, have been established. The anodized layer after an hour of anodizing using a pulsed power source has the structure of hydrated aluminum oxide Al2O3×nH2O. Impulse hard anodizing leads to an increase in the thickness of the anodized layer, its microhardness and abrasive wear resistance by 15...25% compared to anodized layers synthesized under direct current in the base electrolyte in the temperature range -5oC...+5oC. established, with an increase in water molecules in the anodized layer, its microhardness and abrasive wear are lower, as well as according to studies of friction friction pairs (steel / ceramic ball)-anodized layer in the environment of mineral lubricant I20, synthetic lubricant EDGE 5W-30 and without lubrication. Less wear of anodized layers synthesized at electrolyte temperatures from -8 to +10oC, under conditions of friction without lubrication, is caused by the presence of crystalline water in the anodized layer.
