Goal of the study: to determine changes in the frequency of malignant tumours in the main groups of the population affected by the Chornobyl accident (liquidators of 1986–1987, evacuees from the exclusion zone, residents of the areas most contaminated with radionuclides) depending on age, sex, observation period, accumulated total effective radiation doses in the remote 35-year post-accident period. Research methods: epidemiological, statistical, software and mathematical. Incidence rates for all forms of cancer exceed the national rate only in the liquidators group of 1986–1987. SIR (standardized incidence ratio) = 106.7 % (95 % confidence interval (CI): 104.9–108.5). There is a significant excess of the thyroid cancer incidence rate in liquidators - by 4.5 times, in evacuees - by 3.8 times, in residents of radioactively contaminated territories - by 1.3 times. Leukaemia and lymphoma incidence rate in liquidators is 1.5 and that in evacuees is 1.4 times higher than the national level. Breast cancer incidence in liquidators women is 1.6 times higher than the expected level. No such increase was observed in the residents of contaminated areas and evacuees. Implementation in 2022. Publications: 1 article in national, 3 articles in international scientific journals, 1 theses; in print: 1 article in a national journal and 1 theses; participation in two conferences; a report note. Field of use: bodies and institutions of the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine, institutions of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine. Key words: CHORNOBYL ACCIDENT, MALIGNANT TUMOURS, LIQUIDATORS, EVACUEES, RESIDENTS OF TERRITORIES MOST HEAVILY CONTAMINATED WITH RADIONUCLIDES Product Description popup.authors Babkina Nataliia G.
