Registration Date 30-12-2022 Organization Institute of Chemistry of Macromolecular Compounds of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2  A series of bioplastics based on soy protein, plasticized with glycerin, sorbitol, and a combination of these polyhydric alcohols and treated with an alkaline solution, a reducing agent, or a neutral surfactant solution, were synthesized and characterized. It is shown that, by changing the combination of plasticizers and the type of processing, it is possible to control such properties of soy protein-based films as strength, elongation, and water resistance, depending on the requirements for the created material. Polymer binders based on synthetic epoxy oligomer ED-20 and soybean oil, functionalized with epoxy and cyclocarbonate groups, with the use of amine hardeners at three different temperature regimes of hardening, were obtained. It was established that such functionalization contributes to the improvement of the elastic properties of epoxy compositions, and the use of different types of hardeners provides provides an opportunity to adjust these properties. In order to create polymer materials that combine several different functional properties, transparent PU matrices with different chemical structures of diisocyanate (aliphatic or aromatic) and oligoether (ether or ester) were synthesized. It is shown that by changing the chemical nature of the components of PU, it is possible to obtain materials with selective protection against UV radiation and an adjustable range of effective damping.
