In connection with the general world trend aimed at increasing the share of renewable energy, the need to increase maneuvering capacities is increasing. Most of the existing TPP power units in Ukraine have produced installed and extended resources, they require replacement with new ones or radical reconstruction, primarily this concerns power units with a capacity of 200 and 300 MW. Therefore, in Ukraine, during modernization and reconstruction, it is advisable to transfer TPP power units to work with ultra-supercritical steam parameters, which will ensure an increase in their economic and environmental indicators. The purpose of the work is to justify the possibility, to determine the ways of creation, as well as to develop the spatial form of the main elements of the flow part of a highly efficient steam turbine for working with ultra-supercritical steam parameters. In the new turbine, it is expected to increase the efficiency to 48-53% with the appropriate level of reliability, as well as placement within the dimensions of the existing machine rooms and foundations of TPP power units for turbines of the K-300 series. The modernization of turbines with the transition to ultra-supercritical parameters will allow to reduce the specific costs of conventional fuel, which, in turn, will make it possible to reduce the volume of purchases of foreign energy resources, improve the foreign trade balance, contribute to the country's economic growth and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
