Kurdyumov of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2  The electrophysical properties of a nanocomposite of Cu microparticles and a carbon nanostructure (TEG or CNT) in the process of establishing electrical contacts between them by compression deformation were studied. The study showed that for nanocomposites with CNTs, there is an almost 2-fold increase in electrical conductivity, compared to the original components, at a CNT concentration of up to 5 wt. %, and for composites with TEG, a similar effect is not observed. The increase in electrical conductivity is due to the process of transfer of conduction electrons from metal particles to the carbon component. This allows the use of carbon nanostructures for the functionalization of finely dispersed metal powders to create new composite materials for electrodes low-temperature thermal power plants.
