The dependence of the damage parameter on the exhaustion of the regulated resource for 15Kh1M1F steel after different durations of operation is plotted. The critical value of microdamage (ω = 22%) is established, which determines the safety of further operation of heat-resistant steels at the facility. An indicator of grain boundary damage in the form of the fraction of their perimeter filled with inclusions was proposed and tested, which made it possible to reconcile damage at the micro level (in the form of delamination of inclusions from the matrix) and the fraction of the area of intergranular damage, and on this basis to predict the main mechanical characteristics based on quantitative metallography. The relationship between micro- and macro-damage of heat-resistant steel was obtained, which makes it possible to predict the technical condition of the metal according to the most commonly used mechanical indicators, which are used in the calculations of the structural strength of elements of thermal power equipment.
