The object of research is heat and mass transfer processes in the production of composite raw materials. The purpose of the research is to create scientific foundations for the development and improvement of technologies for the processing of certain types of biomass into granular biofuel or biomethane and their efficient energy use. The technological characteristics of peat, nutritious corn residues were determined and the optimal ratio in the composite fuel was obtained. Based on the results of studies of heat and mass exchange processes during drying of composite raw materials based on solid peat residue after extraction of humates and nutritious corn residues, the kinetic patterns of their convective drying were determined and summarized. Calculated relative coefficients and drying coefficients. The change in the Rebinder number, which characterizes the energy efficiency of the drying process, was calculated; obtained formulas for the duration of drying of composite fuel. The woodcartographic studies of composite fuel and its components were performed. Based on the results of the developed numerical model, the distribution of temperature and concentrations of components inside the pellet and in the space surrounding it was determined. Based on the results of numerical studies, the spatial distribution of the velocity of the air flow, which is formed as a result of the natural convection of air near the burning particle, is determined.
