The purpose of the work is the scientific foundations formation for providing technological conditions for the new granular substances, metal oxides, in particular for nuclear fuel and catalysts creation, on sol-gel technology by using the imposed external vibration effect for intensifying hydrodynamic and heat-and-mass transfer peocesses. Research methods. The main theoretical and experimental dependences describing hydrodynamic and heat and mass transfer processes during granulation are determined by differential methods of mathematical analysis and integral calculation using CAS systems. In the course of experimental studies, modern means of measuring the parameters of granule dispersion and flow rates control by the induction method, systems of contactless current sensors of mechanical vibrations and their spectral analysis, methods of mass spectrometric and optical emission analysis were used. The possibilities of intensification of hydromechanical and heat- and mass-transfer processes for obtaining new granular substances due to the imposition of vibroacoustic oscillations are substantiated. The general methodology of experimental research and modeling, strategic and tactical planning of experiments with a description of experimental installations is described. The theoretical foundations of modeling the process of vibro-granulation of dispersed materials using the sol-gel technology were developed, models of droplet movement, the sedementation of a sol in a ammonia solution, and the application of a coating layer on model microspheres were developed. Based on the results of experimental studies, recommendations were provided on the operating-technological and instrumental-constructive optimization of the granulation process using the sol-gel technology.
