Subbotin name popup.description2 Fundamental studies of lithosphere dynamics within the framework of the theory of non-linear non-equilibrium geomechanics were carried out. We studied new regularities in the dynamics of the Earth's crust, taking into account its structure. Previous studies concerned the processes of stretching in the Earth's crust with the formation of faults, or rifting. The next step was the study of compression processes, those inherent in subduction zones. Since in these processes the phenomenon of localization of stresses during the deformation of such a structured environment has already been revealed, based on a detailed study of this mechanism, the foundations of the theory of the origin of the source of seismic radiation have been laid, and the near zone of the earthquake has been described. The model of elemental dynamics was created and applied to the study of deformation of the Earth's crust in tectonic processes, in salt tectonics processes, which are faster in the geological time scale, software complexes were created and were used for forecasting promising areas for hydrocarbon production in different regions of Ukraine. The development of the methodology for predicting the prospects of mineral deposits based on knowledge of the history of sedimentary basin formation is relevant for the development of the raw material base of Ukraine. We studied the tectonic evolution of the Ukrainian sector of the Black Sea based on a new interpretation of a large volume of field seismic data. The study of tectonic processes precisely when applying the theory of non-equilibrium geomechanics revealed an interesting phenomenon of stress localization and the subsequent release of energy from stressed zones. This mechanism will make it possible to build a new theory of the source of earthquake and the seismic waves release.
