The aim of the study was the study of the promoter sequences of EPF1, EPF2 and MUTE genes and analysis of the other potential stomatal biogenesis genes FAMA, SCR, SHR, FLP. In the research process for experimental tasks was used domestic and foreign equipment. During the research the following results were obtained: the collection of 74 samples of bread winter wheat, spelt, synthetic hybrids of wheat and their wild relatives was formed and the samples were sown on the experimental field; promoter regions of homeologous stomatal biogenesis genes EPF1, EPF2 and MUTE in two cultivars of bread wheat contrasting in terms of drought tolerance (Podolianka and Natalka) were amplified, cloned and sequenced; numerous of single nucleotide polymorphism and insertions/deletions were detected; the impact of detected differences on the formation of cis-regulatory elements was characterized; the search of wheat homologues of other important stomatal biogenesis genes, such as FAMA, SCR, SHR, FLP was made in three subgenomes (A, B and D) using specialized databases of the actual wheat genome; chromosomal position and exon-intron structure of these genes were characterized; 7 systems of DNA markers were designed for detection of polymorphism in promoter genetic sequences EPF1, EPF2 and MUTE.
