The work aims to investigate indicators of immune status, autophagy, and cellular aging in peripheral blood leukocytes of clean-up workers at the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant. The results. According to the research data of the formed analytical sample, similar age-associated changes in immunoreactivity according to the indicators of expression of differential and activation antigens were established in all observation groups. In the clean-up workers and employees of the Chornobyl nuclear power plant, we examined a decrease in the relative level of IL-1β-, IFN-γ-producing CD45+CD14- lymphocytes, spontaneous expression of the LC3B protein in PB leukocytes. A correlation between the level of the LC3B protein was determined and the expression of NF-κB protein in lymphocytes of clean-up workers PB with D < 100 mSv. A decrease in relative telomere length (RTL) and a correlation dependence of NF-κB with radiation dose and RTL were established. These changes can contribute to chronic inflammation and premature cellular aging. Furthermore, LC3B and NF-κB proteins are identified as inflammatory markers. A decrease in RTL, spontaneous expression of the LC3B protein, the level of IL-6-, IL-2-, and IL-1β-producing lymphocytes, and an increase in IL-1β and TNF-α-producing lymphocytes were determined in the group of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. A direct correlation was determined between the relative expression levels of NF-κB and LC3B proteins, as well as NF-κB and IL-1β-producing lymphocytes, which is probably associated with the activation of stress-induced NF-κB signal transduction, which can lead to accelerated acquisition by cells of the secretory phenotype associated with cellular senescence (SASP) and the development of chronic mild inflammation.
