The list of rare processes in natural isotopes of uranium, which can be studied in the course of this work, has been determined. The technical requirements for the experiment and ways to detect such processes have been formulated. Measurements with uranium samples of different isotopic enrichment have been performed by using HPGe detector, as well as the detector’s background. Experimental gamma spectra measured with uranium samples enriched with 238U and 235U isotopes are processed. The existence of previously unknown gamma peaks with energies of 2022.2 keV, 2041.2 keV, 2065.8 keV, 2093.2 keV and 2136.7 keV, most likely related to the decay of 234mPa, the daughter nuclide of 238U, has been confirmed. Experimental constraints on the half-lives of 238U and 235U nuclei have been established relative to rare nuclear decays such as cold fission and cluster decay.
