The purpose of the work is to monitor and to provide an assessment of the state of the ecosystems and the water bioresourcesin the differentoriginandpurposeinternal water bodies in the Odesa region. Research tasks: assessing the morphometric parameters of the water bodies; researching the water and hydrological-hydrochemical regimes, the ichthyofaunaspecies composition, a state and production possibilities of the natural fodder base, etc. Research methods - systematic analysis of abiotic and biotic parameters in order to carry out an integral assessing the ecological state of the various types and origins small water bodies in the Odesa region. The total production of phyto- and zooplankton, macrophytes and zoobenthos and the main bioremediation objects, the technology of commercial fish production in the small water bodies were analyzed and the principles of using small reservoirs for commercial fish farming were determined. The results of the research should be transferred to the local executive authorities in order to make management decisions to ensure effective using the small water bodies fishing potential in the Odesa region.
