The main tasks of the project: 1) to develop and improve the microextraction methodology using nonionic surfactants and deep-eutectic solvents (DES) for extraction and concentration of toxic elements when they are determined in pharmaceutical facilities; 2) to develop methods for the synthesis of fluorescent chemosensors based on squaraine dyes and/or other fluorophores for the determination of toxic metal cations in environmental objects. Research objects – micellar solutions of Triton X-100 and Triton X-114; deep eutectic solvents menthol-oleic acid, menthol-ibuprofen and menthol-vanillin; Calcium gluconate; semisquarine dyes. Research methods – microextraction, atomic and molecular electron spectroscopy, organic synthesis, NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, quantum chemical calculations. During the implementation of the first stage of the project, a literature search was conducted for methods of extraction and concentration of cadmium, lead, arsenic, and mercury using microextraction. The processes of separation of micellar solutions of Triton X-100 and Triton X-114 in the presence of resorcinol as a hydrotropic additive were studied. A technique for isolating and concentrating arsenic from the Calcium gluconate for further analysis by atomic emission spectrometry with inductively coupled plasma has been developed. DES were obtained and characterized: menthol-oleic acid, menthol-ibuprofen and menthol-vanillin. New sensors sensitive to the presence of mercury (II) cations based on semisquarine dyes were developed, their chemosensory properties were studied, and the stability and structure of formed complexes were investigated using quantum chemical calculations.
