A mathematical model for the magnetic field of a cylinder with defects is developed; the calculations show the possibility of detecting defects in the UP metal. A mathematical model of relationships between the parameters of stressed metal with a defect, corrosion current at the crack tip, cathodic protection potential, overvoltage of the anodic reaction, temperature changes was developed; the correlation between the anodic current, temperature distribution and stress-corrosion damages was revealed; the resource of the pipeline was estimated taking into account the nonlinearity of corrosion strength criteria. Signatures for signals of diffuse light reflection by surfaces with randomly placed defects were established to estimate their average size; a data set was synthesized for training machine learning algorithms for defects classification.
