The experiment covered 339 students of grades 5-6 of experimental schools in the cities of Poltava, Kremenchuk, Dnipropetrovsk region. At the initial stage of the pedagogical experiment, conversations were held with each teacher, in which the purpose of the experiment and methodical recommendations regarding the peculiarities of its educational and methodological support were discussed. The developed scientific and methodological support for the "Environment" education in grades 5-6 was transferred to experimental schools together with the texts of test papers for students (I-II semesters) and a training program for teachers, which includes approximate answers to the questions of test papers . During the experiment, the contents of the sections of the practical manual "Didactic materials from the integrated natural science course "Environment" for students of grades 5-6" were clarified; sections of the methodological manual "Environmental teaching methods in grades 5-6"; manuscript of materials for methodological recommendations "Methodical advice for teachers of the integrated natural science course "Environment" 5-6 grades". The completed manuscript of the preprint (concept) "Concept of the integrated natural science course "Environment" for grades 5-6" and the curriculum of the integrated natural science course "Environment" (grades 5-6) were experimentally tested and recommended for release and distribution.
