The purpose of the work is to develop a complex mathematical model of the formation of harmful substances during the combustion of fossil fuel in high-temperature equipment of industry, which are stationary sources of environmental pollution. The work also aims to study changes in the concentration of harmful emissions depending on fuel combustion and external conditions. A complex mathematical model of the fossil fuel burning with an oxygen-air mixture, the formation of harmful substances and greenhouse gases, the processes of heat and mass exchange and gas dynamics in heating equipment, and the dispersion of harmful substances in an industrial zone were developed. Using the mathematical model, the influence of fossil fuel combustion conditions with combustion air containing 21-100% of oxygen on the processes of formation of harmful substances and greenhouse gases is determined. Furthermore, the concentrations of emissions of harmful substances under the accepted modelling conditions were calculated, and the negative impact on the environment, health and life of the population was determined. As a result, an environmentally efficient method of burning fossil fuel with an oxygen-air mixture in high-temperature industrial equipment was developed. This method ensures the energy efficiency of the industrial equipment and minimizes the harmful impact of the technological process on human health and the state of the environment. Calculated and determined emissions of greenhouse gases and harmful substances in exhaust gases for the conditions of implementation of the method of fossil fuel burning with an oxygen-air mixture. The impact on the environment and the spread of fuel combustion products on the territory bordering the industrial site were determined.
