The subject of the research is the influence of the technical characteristics of the installation for determining the multiplicity and stability of the medium multiplicity foam on its efficiency. The purpose of the work is to improve and develop the educational and research base of the institute, as a basis for studying the influence of various factors on the fire-fighting efficiency of modern general-purpose foaming agents. In the research and design work, the actual design task of developing a laboratory-experimental installation for the study of the properties of general-purpose foaming agents for fire extinguishing was solved. With the help of the developed installation, it is possible to determine the quality indicators of general-purpose foaming agents according to DSTU 3789:2015 "General-purpose foaming agents for fire extinguishing. General technical requirements and test methods". An experimental determination of the influence of design features of laboratory foam generators on the results of foam multiplicity tests was carried out.
