Registration Date 06-01-2023 Organization Department for special training National academy of science of Ukraine at Kiev University popup.description2  Analysis of endogenous cytokinins in mycelial biomass of three species of medicinal mushrooms growing in vitro (Grifola frondosa strain 976, Sparassis crispa strain 314 та Pleurotus nebrodensis strain 2035) revealed the species specificity of trans-zeatin, zeatin riboside, zeatin-O-glucoside and isopentenyladenine content. Crude extracts and purified cytokinin fractions from mycelial biomass were tested on the growth and development of cultures of the human hepatocarcinoma tumor cell lines HepG2. Cytotoxic/cytostatic effect of both crude extracts and cytokinin fraction was recorded for all studied mushroom species, the corresponding range of effective concentrations was established. The effectiveness of the cytotoxic/cytostatic effect of the cytokinin fraction of G. frondosa and P. nebrodensis was higher than that of the purified extract.
