The differential scattering cross section was found using the eikonal approximation for the case of a beam of the shape of an oblate ellipsoid. A numerical result was obtained for the particle scattering cross section in the specified problem. Here are the simplifications that can be applied to this problem. An analytical theory of volume reflection for positive and negative charged particles in a bent crystal is constructed. For a crystal with the arbitrary interplanar potential the average deflection angle and the angular distributions of the reflected beam were found. In a uniform bent crystal, taking into account the quasi-periodicity of the continuous potential, the angle of deviation was expressed through the definite integral of the continuous potential over a separate interplanar interval. With the help of this representation, an expression for the average angle of reflection at an arbitrary bending radius is obtained. For bending radii much larger than the critical one, a general expression was found that describes the angular distribution of volume reflected particles.
