Goal of the work – the development and scientific substantiation of perspective technologies for formation the of safe indoor and outdoor buildings environment that use a combination of plants, building structures, and engineering systems. Research methods – improved method of calculating natural air exchange by A. Tkachuk; CFD; telescopic mapping of infinite space into a finite figure; modern methods of planning, execution and processing of experimental results; author's methods of researching heat-mass transfer and noise characteristics of the vegetation layer of "green structures". A thorough analysis of literary sources was carried out. The method of simulation of natural air exchange and IAQ during natural ventilation by A. Tkachuk has been improved. A flats simulator was developed. A telescopic representation of space was introduced, which preserves continuity, growth/decrease, differentiability, integration of functions, etc. A phytofilter, which takes into account the plants biorhythms, an overvoltage protection device, and a combination of air distributors with phytoncide plants for air sanitation, was developed. Laboratory methods and stands for scientific research and certification tests of heat-mass exchange, gas exchange and noise absorption was created. New "green structures" – horizontal roof greening of and rain-garden bands – was proposed. A method and a stand for laboratory scientific and certification studies of absorption and filtration of rainwater was developed. An analysis of rainwater after "green roofs" was performed. The possibilities of absorption of CO2 emissions from velotransport by "green structures" have been determined. The reasons for the weak promotion of "green structures" in Ukraine was highlighted.
