The purpose of the work is to develop a national standard with an identical degree of compliance with the European standard EN 16240:2013 for its adoption by the translation method. Research methods – analysis of the text and regulatory references of the European standard EN 16240:2013, taking into account the requirements of national standardization, legislation and experience in the application of national regulatory documents. The project of the national standard DSTU EN 16240:20ХX has been developed (EN 16240:2013, ИТТ) "Polycarbonate (PC) solid flat translucent sheets for internal and external applications as part of roofs, walls and ceilings. General technical requirements and test methods". The text of the standard includes national structural elements in accordance with the requirements of national standardization. The results of the development of a regulatory document (ND) are intended for adoption by the national standardization body as a national ND in accordance with the requirements of legislation in the field of standardization. The developed standard will be introduced for the first time. A conclusion was drawn on the expediency of further work in order to develop and adopt the method of translation of other European / international standards given in the references EN 16240:2013.
