It is significant that the presence of gases dissolved in water influences the study of pulsed discharges in a liquid. As a result, part of the energy is dissipated, which reduces the energy in the pulse. This affects the shape and amplitudes of the acoustic signals of divergent and convergent waves. To avoid such an effect, a water degassing system was developed to remove dissolved gases from the liquid before conducting experiments. Preliminary pumping of the system to low pressure was also carried out. When using degassed water in a plasma-liquid system of cylindrical geometry, it was possible to obtain close values of the amplitudes of the first and second diverging acoustic waves.
