Registration Date 12-01-2023 Organization National Science Center "Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology" popup.description2  The results of theoretical and numerical studies of ion beams acceleration are presented, in which the stability of the movement is ensured by the combined high-frequency focusing - alternating-phase focusing and high-frequency quadrupole focusing, which allows to increase the acceleration rate, compared to high-frequency quadrupole focusing, and the current of the accelerated ion beam, compared to alternating-phase focusing. The promising use of combined high-frequency focusing in linear ion accelerators has been demonstrated. Combined high-frequency focusing makes it possible to build compact accelerators capable of accelerating beams of both heavy and light ions with pulse currents from tens to hundreds of mA in the energy range from units to hundreds of MeV. The results of the study of the behavior of promising Al2O3, TiO2 and SiC ceramics for atomic and thermonuclear power plants under the influence of proton beams, as well as the results of the matching line optimization of the injector with the helium ion accelerator POS-4 and the modernization of the POS-4 irradiation chamber are given.
