Karazin Kharkiv National University popup.description2  The project is aimed at theoretical and experimental research of the processes of excitation, radiation and scattering of electromagnetic fields occurring in structures consisting of two-dimensional periodic screens of finite thickness, perforated with holes of complex shape. One of the main results of the third stage of the project is the developed devices for controlling the polarization of the reflected wave. It was established that the circular polarization of the electromagnetic wave reflected from the investigated array is retained even at different polarization angles of the incident field. It is shown that in the modes of non-specular reflection of electromagnetic waves on the considered structure, the transformation of linearly polarized waves into circularly polarized waves is possible. The scientific component of the work consists in the research of the frequency dependence of the electromagnetic wave reflection coefficient from one- and two-layer screens with coaxial-sector holes. An experimental study of the frequency-selective properties of one- and two-layer metastructures was carried out. Full passage resonances were detected. Experimental studies of the Fabry-Perot resonator have been carried out and the prospects of its use as a sensor of low dielectric constant values (gas studies) have been shown. Experimental samples of radio-absorbing coatings have been modeled and manufactured, which at frequencies from 8 GHz have a reflection coefficient of less than -20 dB in the case of protecting a metal surface.
