Yanovsky National academy of medical sciences of Ukraine" popup.description1 To work out the complex of antituberculosis measures for reduction of frequency relapses for patients with pulmonary tuberculosis popup.description2  The object of the research is the official statistical data of the Center for Medical Statistics of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the State Institution "Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine", data from the Register of TB patients, the results of questionnaires of phthisiologists. The aim of the work is to develop a set of anti-tuberculosis measures to reduce the frequency of relapses in patients with pulmonary TB. Research methods: mathematical, statistical, questionnaire. A linear correlation was established between the reduction in the incidence of TB relapses (RTB) and the increase in the effectiveness of the treatment of newly diagnosed TB, the reduction of chemoresistance and HIV infection. The causes of TB of the lungs were identified: medical (inadequate treatment of TB, immunodeficiency states, HIV infection, concomitant diseases, neglected TB, side effects of drugs), organizational (low fluoroscopy coverage, lack of dispensation and prevention of TB in risk groups, financial and infrastructural difficulties, lack of social-psychological support, unavailability of rapid diagnosis of TB, inadequate treatment of concomitant diseases, lack of "closed" hospitals) and social (reluctance to treatment, unsatisfactory social and living conditions, low sanitary education, social insecurity). It has been proven that lung destruction, bacterial excretion, multidrug resistance and medical and social risks contribute of RTB. A classification of the causes of RTL and ways to prevent them have been developed, which are based on health care standards for TB: early detection, access to effective treatment, reducing the risk of infection of contact persons, preventive treatment. The application of the proposed measures will allow to achieve the target indicators of morbidity and effectiveness of treatment of patients with active TB, to prevent the emergence of widespread and drug-resistant forms of TB.
