These include residues of veterinary drugs used for the treatment and prevention of animal diseases, in particular tetracycline antibiotics, sulfonamide drugs, anthelmintics, and hormones that end up in animal waste, and after their treatment with wastewater from sewage treatment plants, into natural water bodies. The hydrochemical composition of the water of a conditionally clean reservoir and the water polluted by the sewage of a livestock enterprise, the species composition, the number and biomass of zooplankton organisms, macrophytes and phytoplankton of the water, morphometric features, the morphological composition of blood and metabolic indicators of fish were determined, which made it possible to establish new criteria for the ecological assessment of natural reservoirs contaminated with livestock by-products.
