The purpose of the work is to study the electrochemical characteristics of a composite lead electrode for a lead-acid battery. The design was developed and the material of the working electrode was selected experimentally for the electrolytic production of lead deposits from the standard lead electrolyte. A method of electrodeposition and production of lead-based composites has been developed. Calculations of current output and electrodeposition time were performed and a connection with the synthesis process parameters was established. Optimization of the parameters of electrodeposition regimes of lead coatings was carried out on the basis of their quality control. A methodology for studying the properties of lead deposits and its electrochemical and kinetic characteristics has been developed in order to further study the properties of lead composites. Composite lead coatings were obtained and their electrochemical properties were investigated by galvanostatic, potentiostatic, potentiodynamic methods and the method of cyclic voltammetry. A study of the processes taking place on the surface of lead in sulfuric acid was carried out. Electrochemical behavior of lead deposits and composite lead coatings was studied using the method of taking current-voltage characteristics. On the basis of experimental data, a comparative assessment of the electrochemical properties of lead deposits and lead-based composite coatings was performed.
