With the obvious advantages of titanium alloys, their wider use in medicine is restrained by a number of problems, such as: low quality of semi-finished products due to violations or imperfection of their production technologies; complexity and time-consuming production technology; low mechanical properties of cast semi-finished products. Therefore, mastering the technology of obtaining semi-finished products from medical titanium alloys in industrial conditions requires the development and implementation of fundamentally new technologies and equipment for smelting ingots and manufacturing deformed semi-finished products. The technology for the production by the EPP method of high-quality defect-free ingots of titanium alloys for medical use with a guaranteed chemical composition has been developed. The quality of the obtained ingots of titanium alloys for medical purposes was studied.
