Due to the weather conditions, the biological activity of the soil, in particular the decomposition of linen, has slowed down significantly. Studies have shown that the lowest values of the general biological activity of the light grey forest surface gleyed soil under spring barley and corn were obtained in the control treatment without fertilizers - 15.65±1.93 and 30.47±8.05 % respectively. Organo-mineral fertilizers provided the highest decomposition of linen cloths: 31.70 ± 4.58 % in soil under barley and 63.33 ± 2.43 % under corn. On a scale of soil assessment by enzymes, light-grey forest surface gleyed soil is characterized as very poor. The highest catalase activity is marked with the introduction of 15 t/ha of manure+0.5 n NPK+1.5 n CaCO3 according to Ha - 0.65 ml of 0.1 n KMnO4/g of soil for 20 min under spring barley, which is connected to a favourable pH value (5,68). For corn, the highest activity was shown in treatment 17 with mineral fertilizer N105P101K101 and liming 1.5 n CaCO3 according to Ha - 0.85 ml. Light-grey forest surface gleyed soil is characterized by very low values of both peroxidase and polyphenol oxidase. Prolonged use of organo-mineral fertilizer systems contributed to the slight predominance of polyphenol oxidase activity relatively peroxidase, which indicates the activation of humus accumulation processes in the soil and increased humus content.
