Research methods are clinical, radiological, microbiological, immunological, biochemical and statistical. As a result of the work, it was found that the vast majority of patients who developed an infectious complication after the local application of glucocorticosteroids had a serious undercompensated concomitant pathology. The latter should be considered as a relative contraindication for the use of HA and as a risk factor for the occurrence of an infectious process. The occurrence of a septic process, as a rule, is due to the absence or inadequate diagnostic assessment before a local injection of the state of the tissues and the patient's body as a whole. Progression is due to the delay or complete lack of recognition and early purchase of the infection that started after the injection. Adherence to and implementation of indications and contraindications for intra-articular (local) injections of HA, principles of dosage, frequency of administration and time intervals between them are the basis and measures to prevent the occurrence and development of infectious complications arising after local administration of glucocorticoid drugs.
