Karazin Kharkiv National University popup.description2  New data on the influence of inert electrolytes on micellar kinetic effects for reactions of anionic dyes (PV2– and NPV2–) with hydroxide ion were obtained. In particular, it was found that salts can inhibit not only the catalytic effect of micelles (concentration of the HO– ion by cationic micelles), but also inhibit the kinetic micellar effect in general. The surface electrostatic potential of micelles of sodium n-dodecyl sulfate and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide was calculated with high accuracy, which can be used for the calculation of other surfactants. The surfaces of MS2 and PCV2 viruses were studied using a number of indicator dyes of different charge types, sizes and structures, and the spectral and acid-base characteristics of these probes in aqueous solutions containing virus particles were obtained. An approach was developed and tested for the construction (reconstruction) of an all-atom model of the MS virus based on incomplete and heterogeneous experimental cryo-electron microscopy data. A series of experiments was conducted to evaluate the possibility of encapsulation of the anticancer chemotherapeutic drug, doxorubicin, and the europium coordination complex in nanosystems based on liposomes of different lipid composition, amyloid hydrogels, and their combinations. A four-chromophore system has been created that can be used to identify, characterize, and distinguish polymorphs of amyloid fibrils using multistep Förster resonance energy transfer. The use of a new phosphonium cyanine dye for elucidating the mechanisms of DNA interaction with pathogenic protein aggregates was evaluated. The significant potential of 8 newly synthesized cyanine dyes for detecting the physicochemical properties of DNA in solution was revealed, and the binding of model sheets of four types of graphene and carbon nanotubes with glucose oxidase was investigated, which may contribute to the further development of optical glucose biosensors.
