The purpose of the work is experimental studies of the dependence of the magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) force on the structure of its own magnetic field of an experimental sample of a permanent magnetic field source. Research method is experimental. A structural diagram of a small permanent magnetic field source with a Halbach array in the center has been developed. A device for measuring the spatial distribution of the induction of a constant magnetic field source was developed and manufactured. Mechanisms of force interaction in the system "small source of permanent magnetic field - external magnetic field" were experimentally investigated. An experimental sample of the model rotation mechanism was created to study the influence of the mutual orientation of the induction vector of the own magnetic field and the vector of the plasma flow velocity. The results of the research are applied in nature. A small-sized permanent magnetic field source, a device for spatial measurement of the induction of a permanent magnetic field source, and an experimental sample of the model rotation mechanism were used during experimental research at the plasma-electrodynamics stand of the ITM of NASU and SSAU. The scope of use is control of the aircraft movement in the Earth’s ionosphere and upper atmosphere. The obtained results can be used in carrying out bench experimental research of MHD-interaction of aircraft with the Earth’s ionosphere and upper atmosphere. Socio-economic efficiency and importance of the research work: the results serve to solve the actual problem of cleaning the near-Earth space from space debris using MHD force.
