Karazin Kharkiv National University popup.description2  The possibility of alloying Eurofer steel surfaces with tungsten is shown. The tungsten phase is recognized along with the iron phase lines on the machined surfaces. The concentration of tungsten reached several tens of wt.% in the surface layer up to 4 μm. Surface morphology develops mainly by melting and resolidification of the surface layer. It is shown that the intense emission of particles from the surface of lattice samples is observed during the first pulse. With subsequent exposures, particle emissions are significantly reduced. The intense emission of particles at the early stage of plasma irradiation is explained by the forced removal of weakly bound fragments that were formed during the process of manufacturing lattice tungsten samples. The movement of dust particles in a non-stationary plasma was modeled and studied. A self-consistent model of a helicon source was built, a computer code was developed on the basis of this model, and the physical processes occurring in helicon plasma sources with non-homogeneous plasma and magnetic field parameters were simulated. Parasitic cyclotron absorption by alpha particles was simulated. It is shown that significant parts of the distribution of alpha particle losses in the phase space of the stellarator close to quasi-axisymmetric configurations can be understood from the point of view of the semi-analytical theory of orbital resonances and Hamiltonian perturbation theory. The obtained results will be used to develop and improve numerical codes for predicting damage to divertor plates that will be in contact with plasma in a thermonuclear reactor and when conducting experiments on cyclotron heating of ions at thermonuclear installations JET and Asdex Upgrade.
