Karazin Kharkiv National University popup.description2 The following results were obtained: - two-dimensional inhomogeneous plasma models of tokamaks with circular and elliptical cross-sections of the magnetic surfaces were developed taken into account the presence of a steady-state electric current self-consistent with the structure of the confined magnetic field; - drift-kinetic equations for the perturbed distribution functions of ions and electrons in the first-order approximation over to the magnetization parameterі were derived, which allows analyzing the influence of drift-effects and rotational transformation of magnetic field lines on the wave-particle resonant interaction in a toroidal plasma; - it is shown that in elliptical tokamaks, the rotational transformation of equilibrium magnetic field lines significantly affects the conditions of ion-cyclotron and electron-cyclotron resonances due to additional centrifugal forces acting on the untrapped (passing), t-trapped and d-trapped particles during their motion along the spiral-toroidal magnetic field; - a convenient form for the relativistic transport equations and expressions for the relativistic Braginsky matrix coefficients were obtained, and the method for solving the relativistic kinetic equation using generalized Laguerre polynomials was proposed. Also, the procedure for closing the system of transport equations with this method was described; - it was established that the thermal movement of electrons and ions lead to limitations in the formation of cavities of plasma density, which arise due to non-homogeneous stochastic electrostatic fields, the criteria for the formation of cavities were found. - it was shown the possibility of the surface electromagnetic TE-waves existence in flat waveguide structures with mu-negative metamaterials and it was studied the influence of the parameters of these materials on the dispersion properties, phase and group velocities, and spatial field structure of these waves; Product Description popup.authors Galajdych Viktor K Hrechko Yaroslav O Grishanov Mykola I.
