Registration Date 24-01-2023 Organization The Gas Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2  For steam boiler units of the DKVR and DE types, which are used in Ukraine at distilleries, sugar factories, food and processing industries, aeration stations, etc. tested developed floor and vortex burner devices, as well as biogas flare (for the possibility of biogas utilization during equipment repairs) for burning biogas of various origins. As a result of the conducted tests and studies, it was established that the efficiency of boilers when operating on biogas, in contrast to natural gas, decreases at the highest concentration of carbon dioxide in biogas - 60% by about 1.2%, but nitrogen oxides decrease by more than 2 times, and the concentration of carbon monoxide, although increasing, is within 100 mg/nm3 (at 3% O2). It was established that the length of biogas flares of burner devices, both bottom and vortex, when burning biogas in boilers of types DKVR-6.5-13, DKVR-10-13, vortex DKVR-20-13, DE-16-14 is reduced by about 10%, which is explained by the fact that the ballast gases, which are contained in the biogas and have the initial energy of movement, when leaving the nozzle, attach the appropriate amount of air to the biogas jet, but do not enter into a chemical reaction with it.
