For the first time, it was proposed to measure as parameters of the middle ear the coefficient of reflection of the sound pulse from the tympanic membrane as a function of frequency, with subsequent transformation into a dimensionless parameter - the norm factor of the middle ear. This ensures an increase in the accuracy of diagnosis of middle ear pathologies. For the first time in the developed hardware and software complex for determination of the norm factor, a sound pipe was introduced between the electroacoustic probe of the complex and the external auditory canal, which is made in the form of a flexible tube of a calculated length with a diameter equal to the diameter of the external auditory canal, and the air pressure in the sound pipe and the ear is equal to atmospheric. This eliminated the need to use a pneumatic system, as is done in an acoustic impedance meter, and increased the accuracy and safety of diagnosing human hearing, and it became possible to perform diagnostics on a real time scale. Thus, the main advantage of the broadband automated electroacoustic hardware and software complex and the diagnostic method implemented is the exclusion of the possibility of a medical error because quantitative indicators of the state of the middle and inner ear of a person are used, and the complex is fully automated. A laboratory model of a portable wide-band electroacoustic hardware and software complex was developed, and its experimental research was carried out, which confirmed the functionality of the developed method of diagnosing human hearing for differential diagnosis of the hearing of military servicemen who received acubarotrauma in combat conditions, audiological screening of newborns, for mass examinations of schoolchildren.
