The factors affecting the breaking characteristics of complex polyethylene and para-aramid yarns are determined. A mathematical apparatus was developed to describe the geometry of the yarn in the loop and 3D models of weft knit were constructed in a conditionally-equilibrium state and maximum uniaxial stretching. In order to ensure the minimum necessary yarn tension in the fabric formation zone, which causes the minimization of the loss of its strength in the process of knitting, a mathematical support has been developed for determining the yarn tension in the knitting zone, taking into account its real physical and mechanical properties when interacting with the guide surfaces of a large and low curvature modeling yarn guides. A new method of creating nanomagnetic coatings is proposed, which consists in the nanoprocessing of textiles in liquid-phase systems - sols, which contributes to the fastening and fixation of iron-oxide particles of nanosize on its surface and ensures the production of knitted material with shielding properties for protection against electromagnetic radiation, which can be used to manufacture special clothing for employees of radar stations and military personnel.
