The essence of the study is to substantiate and develop modern content and create a set of methods for forming environmental competence of students, which will help harmonize relations with nature, regulate personal consumption, reduce anthropogenic pressure on the environment and in general - improve its condition. Such results are relevant in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals, and can be considered as contextual with the main trends of European environmental education.
